Behavioural contracts can take many forms. They may look like formal chords, or they can be sticker charts. You can also include “daily cards” that your child`s teacher gives your child. No form is better than another. The important thing is that the contract works well for your child. 7.1 PROFESSIONAL BOUNDARIES ENTRETIEN WITH SUPERVISED AND STUDENTS: Marriage and family therapists are aware of their influential position vis-à-vis their students and facilitators and avoid taking advantage of the trust and dependence of these individuals. Marital and family therapists therefore avoid forming relationships with facilitators and students (over whom they exercise professional authority) who are reasonably likely to interfere with professional judgment or lead to exploitation. The provision of therapy to students or caregivers, through which the caregiver or educator exercises professional authority, is unethical and the provision of marital and family therapy to clients/patients is also unethical. Other actions that may be unethical include borrowing funds from a supervisor, participating in a company subject to prudential oversight, or establishing a close personal relationship with a supervisor or student. Such acts with a supervisor`s spouse, partner or direct family members may also be considered unethical dual relationships. Standard IV: RESPONSIBILITY TO STUDENTS AND SUPERVISED Marriage and Family Therapists do not exploit the trust and dependence of students and caregivers. Relationships with Former Student Advisors Educators are aware of the power difference in the relationship between faculty and students. Faculty members discuss potential risks with former students when considering engaging in social, sexual or other intimate relationships. 4. CMHCs do not harass facilitators, students, staff or co-workers. 7.2 SEXUAL CONTACTS WITH THE SUPERVISED AND STUDENTS: Marriage and family therapists have no sexual contact with caregivers or students with whom they exercise professional authority. Sexual contact is not limited to sexual intercourse, sexual intimacy and sexually explicit communication without a clinical basis, supervision or education.
